Called her on Tuesday and set up a date on Friday. She accepted. We've been seeing each other three months irregularly followed with a one month break in between. She had some valid life stuff during that time like moving out of ex-bf and other heavy stuff. After that during last two weeks I've seen her three times and spent a night on a last date.

Now she sends a message saying sorry but would Thursday or Saturday be good instead. She "has" to go to a local club on Friday. I'm 90% certain she's going with her friend to see a certain performance. Whatever, we're not exclusive.

What's the take on this. She flakes but counter offers. I do have plans on both days until like 8-9pm or so. Should I pull back here? Obviously she is putting her friend before me. My first instinct was just to reply in the morning that sorry, but I've got other plans.

I've read a lot here about flaking but didn't really find anything with a counter offer. Should I let this slide and contact her at the beginning of the week or just make her to chase me?

Her effort in making the counter-offer could be an IOI.

This is a non-issue imo. But I would personally put up some resistance just to fuck with her. Keep her on her toes.

She didn't flake on you, she just wanted to change the day of the date. She has a life, and she had to rearrange some shit, who cares.

Have you had sex with this girl yet? Because if you've slept over her house and haven't had sex with her, PLUS all these times you guys have hung out but havent had sex, you're heading towards being a friend.

anyway to your question.
If a girl cancels a date but still makes a counter offer to make up for cancelling on you. Dude it means your still golden. No need to overthink everything, or punish her. Like you said your not exclusive.
I would sent her something along the lines of "Enjoy, hope you have as much fun as im gonna. and I can't really do saturday, but thursday would be fine."
This way you're showing her it's no bigdeal you're gonna have a blast anyway (unless it is a bigdeal ) and depending if you're free on thursday ofcourse, go for it.
