My stepbrother is 1st year community college living at home. He couldn't close to the house because of.. awkwardness. Here's a line he uses.

Girl: Want to go back to your place?
Guy: I would love to but my place is being (bug bombed, Fumigated, something making it inaccessible) lets go to yours.

Seems simple, but it could help. No one would really argue it or try to call you out
