Okay, I'll start off saying I'm brand spankin' new to the game, as in I've had varying success in the past but it's always just kind of happened without much sway of my own, so while my score is pretty decent, I've never been able to land those HB9s and 10s, just the 4s to 8s (and as bad as it is, even a few less than 4.. *shudder*).
Anyway, long story short, I've spent the last couple of months researching and reading up, started by reading The Game like many others and branched from there, but my confidence has never been up to par with what it should be. I'm generally considered fairly attractive to women, but I've never had the personality or conversational skills to keep up with some of those guys who seem like such naturals but aren't as attractive, which has always left me in those 'how the fuck did he land that chick??' moments, which in turn, had only left me thinking there was something wrong with me that I was unaware of. With that in mind, I've also been researching inner game and learning what makes people click in general.
Finally, I feel I'm finally ready to play. So the other night I went out to a little dive called The Grand. I live in a small town and the selection is fairly limited, there is, however, a college here, so there's always plenty of strange faces floating around. I was peacocking a really nice blue plaid button-up shirt that stood out, and at one point a girl (I'd give her about a 7, but I'm not complaining, she's decent enough for my first real go), complimented me on my shirt (she opened me?) which in turn, I told her she had a nice dress as well, but that I felt her purse was evil and wanted eat me (seriously the thing was huge!). Haha Idunno, an off the wall attempt at a neg, but it seemed to work cuz we spent the next while chatting it up. I think I did pretty well, using proper eye contact and 'alpha' body language, with various kino thrown in for good measure. I try to refrain from routines themselves only because I don't feel they're for me, I believe with the right confidence level, routines aren't totally necessary, just something to use as reference.
Anyway, I was also wearing 2 studded leather bracelets as another subtle peacock device and at one point while we were watching her friends play pool, she started picking at them, so I decided to pull a Mystery.. I took one of them off and put it on her wrist saying with a grin, 'these bracelets have sentimental value to me, but I'm gonna let you have one for now and next time I see you you can give it back'. Anyway, it was at this point it was time to leave her be for a bit so I went back and joined my friends, while I sat back and watched as 2 guys tried to pick her up, one after another, which was mildly entertaining cuz she kept looking back in my direction (one of my friends was a hot married milf, who I decided to sit beside and talk to so it would look like my attention was on her at the time.. social proof.
) I spend awhile doing that, till I noticed 7 was sitting by herself texting on her phone. With that I decided to join her again, but I noticed that she was no longer wearing the bracelet. I asked, 'where'd the bracelet go?' she smiled and lifted up her dress a little to show that it was tied around her the side of her thong (a definite IOI if I've ever seen one hehe) anyway, after some more banter, I whipped my phone out, ready for her to put her number in, which obviously, I got. At this point it was closing time and we were getting kicked outta the bar. As she left with her friends she gave me a hug and told me to text her some time.
And that was that... now where to go from here? I know the game says to always call, but I feel that calling is kind of obsolete now (I haven't made a personal phone call in like a year!) so a text might be the best thing to do right now. It was a thursday night when this happened, it's now saturday. I read somewhere to hold off til sunday so it doesn't look like I'm not doing anything on the weekend. Need to seem like I have a life right?
So my question is, does anybody have any good 'text game' tips that I can work with?
