Texting makes the interaction much more casual and you can put thought into each response instead of having to respond in real time when you can’t see her facial expressions or body language. Texting is also much more convenient for both of you and a flirting “session” can last an entire day which keeps you on her mind longer than a quick phone call when you’re both not too busy. If a woman is having a bad day she might be less likely to answer your phone call because she’s not in the mood to flirt, but if you send the right text she will read it and you can actually cause a state change and put her in the right mood. She may just be genuinely too busy to pick up the phone.
Here are some rules I follow for text game. Keep in mind that there are occasional exceptions to every rule so use good judgment.

1. No Questions Marks
Never ask a question in your first few text after you’ve number closed. Make statements and don’t ask a girl how she is doing unless you’re already in comfort with her and have had a day2 with her. Don’t be needy.



2. Encourage But Don’t Require a Response
This goes hand in hand with not using question marks. Your texts should be statements that are entertaining or provocative that encourage her to respond, but should never require her to respond.



3. Use Correct Grammar
No shortcuts or abbreviations. Every AFC out there abbreviates in texts, not you, even if she does. You’ll notice that if you don’t she’ll stop doing it and come up to your standards. The exception to this rule is if you are writing an extremely long text that would go over the 160 character limit. In that case it’s better to abbreviate than to send two texts.



4. Sign Your Name
If she doesn’t have your name already in her phone, or you haven’t communicated with her a while, make sure you put your name at the bottom of the text. If you don’t you’ll get the dreaded “Who is this?” text.



5. One for One texting
If you send her an opening text for the day and she doesn’t respond, DO NOT TEXT AGAIN THAT DAY. I know it’s tempting but you just can’t. Every text you send her without a response lowers your value to her and give her the perception that you really don’t have much else going on in your life. When she responds then you can reply to her. If she doesn’t respond at all give it a few days before trying again. If you follow these rules you’ll get responses.



6. Calibrate
All normal game rules still apply to text game so be sure to constantly think where you are with this girl. Even if you think of a great text to send her, make sure it’s appropriate for the stage you are in the relationship.



7. Multiple Threading
Give her two things to respond to if you’re starting a new conversation or trying to make plans with her. i.e. “Happy Halloween! Did you feel the earthquake?” If she doesn’t like one topic she can still respond to the other and keep the convo going. When you suggest doing something together but she isn’t ready to commit to that, if you have something else in your text she can respond to she will be more likely to reply.



8. Frequency
I don’t like the old rule of waiting twice as long as she did to reply to a text. You don’t want to seem needy but you also want to build momentum especially if the conversation turns sexual. Just vary the time you wait to respond after each text and calibrate to the topic of the conversation.

9. Have Her Text You Last
If you have a solid interaction, sometimes it’s best to quit while your ahead if you are running out of material or some other logistical problem will prevent you from continuing the convo. If she is the last one to text you have a great reason to text her back the next day on a completely different topic. In fact she will be waiting to hear from you.

10. Mass Texts
This isn’t really a rule, just a great tactic to bring girls out of the wood work or to reopen a target that you might have fizzled out with. Sending a text like “Merry Christmas Everyone” to every number you’ve collected over the year will always get at least a few responses.
