i'm in college (canadian college, not boarding school). Last week, i walked into the library and as i was walking to find a place to sit, i see an 8.5 noticing me in my peripheral. so i sit right next to her, pretend as if i didnt really notice her and start doing some work. a couple of minutes later, i get a text from a female friend of mine asking me when we're gonna have coffee, so i use that as an opinion opener with the girl (preselection? social circle with girls), so we start talking a little bit, i dhv, i see iois (body language, eye contact, maybe some playing with the hair, smiling). i qualified her (you seem trustworthy, can i ask you to watch my stuff for a second, ill brb). i think my game was fairly solid with this girl and we were definitely vibing. i run styles ev (comfort/value) and it worked pretty well. then i tell her i have to go and supposedly she has to go too and so she says "i'll see you around", which i followed with by casually asking for her number, which she willingly gave to me.(i kinda screwed up a little at this point because i mentioned a place, and said maybe we could go there, maybe there was an awkward silence, but i played it off as no big deal and just moved on with a bit of fluff talk) i texted her a few hours later telling her to add me on facebook, which she did. she even texted me saying "okk I did! :p". 3-4 days later, i talk to her on facebook for about 5 minutes. I ask her about her first week of college (fluff talk) and i leave without rly setting up a day 2, which i think balanced out that little awkward moment i had when closing her. I think i should text her a little bit before the time we met the prior week, because she for sure has a break during that span of time, and during that time, dhv, build comfort (maybe run the cube?) and then proceed to hanging out with her during the weekend.

First, your beginning conversation should of been a phone call, and not a txt, or a facebook message.

Second, why are you waiting so long to set up a date? It should of been done the next day.

Yes, you had an awkward lull in conversation. You said that she eyed you first. You didn't even have to force an IOI. Apparently the DHV's went well though not necessarily needed. The awkward pause could of been marked up as some needed sexual tension and used later as a reference to her taking your breath away the first time you met.

If you've waited this long, you've probably let the sexual tension fade, or worse, made her feel rejected. A date at this point might come off us just wanting to hang out with friends or study.

I would ask her out NOW. Specify the time and place. Be specific. Have it prearranged. And let it be an obviously romantic setting. No guises. If she bites, you're back in.
