Hey guys,

Probably nothing new in this question but I'd like some advice on how to proceed on this one from anyone that's had a similar situation end in success.

Background: Met friend of friend at house party a week ago, really like, good talk with some negs etc but never got towards anything like building attraction etc (both a little drunk, didn't have my game face on). Failed to number close (was working the room when she left with a wave and a smile). Friend has since met her and done some recon for me without being obvious, it would seem she enjoyed talking to me etc but friend didn't get the impression she was attracted to me as such. Naturally, further contact is required....

Apparently she went to a party and got a load of friend requests/guys interested in her that she is not interested in. So the question is, how do I engineer a meet with her without getting associated with the bunch of guys chasing her that she doesn't like? Thinking that we should be the exception to the rule I don't want to ask her out on some afc date that she will recoil from due to her current situation of being hunted by other guys, equally contact needs to be made, after all, nothing is going to be achieved by sitting in front of my computer and wondering when I'll next run into her through mutual friends (was thinking that hanging out with friend and her, which is off the cards for a few days anyway, wouldn't necessarily give me the right sort of opportunity to get inside her head).

Advice? Ask out on a non-date and make clear there are no strings attached, ie be non-threatening compared with all the others (might get ljbf'd)? Just ask he on a blatant date? I wouldn't have thought any experienced guys on here will have to plunge the depths of theory to answer this but I'm pretty new/rusty to the game.
