Been lurking for awhile, first time poster. So I go to a bar Yesterday and get a little drunk. There was a group of girls there and I asked them for their opinion on my shirt, saying my buddies were making fun of it. Nothing much came out of that so I kept drinking.

In walks this pretty girl and her roommate. Pretty girl has an adorable little dog (I guess if you're a hot girl, you're allowed to bring a dog into a NYC bar?). I ask her what kind of dog it is and so on and talk about how i want one but don't have time, space, blah blah blah. Se starts telling me how she's going to school for acupuncture and what not and I find out that she goes to the same school as a friend. She starts talking about pressure points and stuff and how one point can help heal pain in a different part of the body. I tell her my hand hurts and asks what she can do for me. so she massages my forearm a little. We keep talking and I tell her I have to go. she had mentioned that she lives across the street and comes to the bar often. I suggest that she take down my number (my phone had died by then) and we should meet up at the bar sometime since she's so close and i fell in love with the place. Having my low self esteem and confidence I figured that she would NOT give me the time of day and that I'll just take this as a learning experience and move on. So imagine my surprise when I charge my phone, it turns on and I see a text with from this girl with her name so i have her number too!!!

My question is.... now what? Do i just suggest we rendezvous at the bar again? Do I wait a day or two and tell her it was nice to meet her, blah blah? This is honestly the first time I have gotten a random girls number at bar, so I have no idea how to approach this. Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

Text her saying it was nice to meet you and that your hand is feeling much better. banter will happen.

I'd invite her somewhere else, she probably goes to that bar all the time. Get the home field advantage and take her somewhere you know really well.

The invite itself is simple. I wouldn't focus on her at all, but rather focus on the place/event you're going to. This will imply that you do fun things constantly, and you're inviting her to join in your lifestyle. Try "The other night was fun! Are you busy tomorrow (or whatever)? I have to take you to this awesome putt-putt golf place (please find something better) I know!"

In the texts following (not more than 4 or so from each of you), keep the conversation light and playful. Remind her why she liked you in the bar. Maybe make a joke that the experience was good because of her dog, not her. This is going to be a enjoyable experience, so have fun with it!

Me: Hey There. Was great meeting you three the other day! The puppy didn't have too much to drink at the bar, I hope?
Her: No she didn't lol
Me: How's your week going?


...and then nothing? Should I try texting her again? If so how do I resume a convo? Just ask her out?

Not much interest, oh well. She texted back once so she'll probably text back again in a week or two. In the meantime, move on to other girls.
