Do whatever you can to get it out of the work place.
Story:

Long time ago (like 12 years ago) my friend developed this "thing" for a stripper. He was in there every night -she Kino-ed the shit out of him. Finally he gets the balls to take it out of the club and was shot down very publicly. I don't think he has been back since. (he dropped like 400 on her one week)


Moral is - as long as it stays in the business - that's all it will be. If you can get her out of there - you have a shot but remember it's also her job at that type of place to make a guy stay, stare and tip. If you can't get here out of there to something the 2 of you can do - the next time you are in - it's done - move on.


I can honestly say that everyone of my girlfriends and my ex-wife were all either my waitress or bartender when I met them the first time - you have to get it away from the place of business - thats rule 1 in my book when it comes to hired guns.

The waitress maybe one of the hardest kind of woman to pick up for the fact that she see's you as an SPAM. You are a source of her income and she definitely doesn't want to interfere with that. They definitely are good to practice openers with and witty conversation, however, don't invest too much into them. If she does give you her number and makes excuses not to hang out, you can pretty much guess that she is not interested. When we like someone, we tend to make time for them. Move to the next lily pad, my friend.

duck ... thanks for the words. The whole reason I took this to the forum was to get ideas of how to get it out of the workplace. I agree wholeheartedly and I'm encouraged by your success with waitresses.
Filip ... if I don't get her out of the workplace in my next trip there, it'll be my last trip there.

Doktor2d, I had a lot of problems with this when I started out. Avoid hired guns if you can. I had a lot of problems with that (some people don't however)

From everything you've said I honestly think she sees you as a nice, harmless guy that clearly likes her but she doesn't feel attraction to you. If she did, the amount you've been going in she would have given you clear indications she's interested. She's a waitress at hooters, she isn't going to be shy about someone she's interested in.

I really think you should give up and move on. I think you're putting too much value into this one girl, go out and meet some other girls (not ones that're working at the time) You'll be suprised at how quickly you stop thinking about her
