Thank you so much for your response and advice and to Hellbound too.

As for the other guy, they are pretty close friends. They hang out together in their group for lunch and sometimes seen alone together at work but that's pretty normal. She only mentioned once about him that him and another guy confessed to her before. I asked why didn't she accept him. She said he's not her type and probably is just joking around as he never seems serious.

I actually approached a close friend of mine who also knows him well says that he might be pulling my leg to get something out of me as he does this to others as well. After a lengthy text conversation with the "bf", he said he was just joking with me and that he's not her gf. Anyway, assuming that's her real current bf, I'm actually a little worried now as I do not know what will he tell her behind my back. Probably will be revealed on how she behaves when I'm around her.

And yes I'm trying to change my attitude towards her. I smiled and waved my hands in front of her to say hi to her and to let her know I do notice her. ( I never ever did before lol and usually just walk past her or a simple hi without a smile.)
