I was set-up through a mutual friend with this girl, neither of us saw pictures of each other. We chatted on the phone a few times (always with her initiating) and conversations went great and often real long. Finally met up with her and she seemed completely cold and like she just wanted to leave. At the end of the night she simply said "nice to meet you" which I figure means she has no interest. My guess is it was an attraction thing because we hit it off well on the phone. I'm no Brad Pitt but not ugly either, I'm pretty good look-wise and her friend who set us up thinks I'm hot.

I think there's little chance of success here but I'd like to give it a shot. I saw her a couple days back and we haven't talked or texted since. What should I either say or text her? I was thinking about just being honest and texting her something along the lines of "I'm pretty sure you weren't interested the other night but I was and I'd like to see you again if you're up for it". Though my gut is telling me that is a stupid thing to say.

Any advice?

Don't say that. Through out a funny flirty text. Completely disregard the awkwardness of your first meet up. Act like everything went fine and you want to see her again.
Text her
You: I have some good news.
Her: What is it?
You: I just texted you, which means your day has instantly gotten like 10 times better.


Then transition into meeting up somewhere. When you do meet with her, flirt, through in some cocky/funny stuff, make her have a good time. Then escalate and see where you can get.

I may have screwed this up more. I didn't do what you said, was thinking I might do it later. But I knew she was going to some event with a friend of hers so I just texted her to have fun there. I realize that is an AFC type text. A couple hours later she texted back thanks. There were going to be celebrities at this event so I just texted her back not to wind up on TMZ. Then no response. I like the idea of just pretending the other night didn't happen though. Would texting her something in the middle of the workday like "ditch work and come hang out with me" be a good idea? I can leave work whenever I want.

I'd suggest having her come with you somewhere instead of just hanging out. Make plans to go somewhere, then just text her and say "Hey, I was gunna go do (whatever) and thought you might wanna come."

Don't center it around her, she is just being allowed to go somewhere with you. Make yourself the prize, not her.
