I was wanting some advice as well as some general openers for facebook to .

ive added a girl who used to go to my gym and was going to send her a message

" hey goofball , didnt you used to go to my gym . Is it true what they say about why you left?"

i was thinking about something like that or do you think its abit stupid?

Does anyone else have any general openers that they use to ?

"Hi" is the classic opener. It is what you say after she replies that is crucial. Openers should be simple online because you have no idea how much time she has.

well from my experience on facebook if you've added her and she's accepted she's open to meeting new people and likes that you've added her (probably recognises your face!).

i like the seeming playful thing but where im from (south eng) girls don't tend to like the whole goofball thing unless it's kinda already established as a little inside joke.

do you know her at all ?? ever actually spoken? introduced yourself? because if you haven't then i would go for a more mysterious down to earth but not boring if you get me. i personally like being direct with women ... hey, just remembered your face from the gym and realised if i didn't send a message then i wouldn't ever get to meet you..

but please let me no how you get on dude!
