how do u appraoch a "plain jane"?

ok so most of the time when i approach a girl i use an observational opener usually about somthing theyre wearing.

but how do u open a girl whos just in jeans and a t shirt? last night i went out and it was nothing but plain janes everywhere, i couldnt think of a single opener. any ideas?
