Hi guys,
I am east indian here in the US.I am still in the beginner stage as you'll call it ...I have been opening up random people these days but one of the feeling that I get is ..the white women out here are particularly cold and dont even look at you when you cross them( I usually try to smile when I cross someone but its impossible if other person doesnt even glance at you).Is this is a common problem for indian guys here?(any senior Indian puas who can throw some light on this?)
My question is have other people (latin/mexican/europeans) also faced this problem?If so is there a possible way to solve this issue?

Speaking as an Indian in the UK, I can vouch for the fact that white women are going to be much harder to approach in the beginning if they sense that you're looking for something. In fact, all women are hard to approach if you're looking for something from them - say, a response to your approach. My method of overcoming this is to practice by asking people the time, and using this to calibrate my posture, tone, etc. This gets me ready to approach, since I have re-learned what the culture here thinks is acceptable public behaviour. If you simply think of asking for the time as re-calibration in an alien culture, that should help you get over the perception that white women are especially cold to Indian guys.
