Well, i'm a fan of day game to start with. it's easy, you don't need to work on sexual escalation, there's no noise to drown out your words, you can set up for follow up night game (etc etc) the problem a lot of PUA's face is that they dont work on it so much.

Durring the day you can easily approach by walking straight up and saying something like: "Hey, im new here, I'm looking for the student center but it seems I keep getting lost, can you give me directions?" BOOM you're in. now all you have to do is transition the conversation from there to actual light convo such as "So what other sort of facilities does this campus have that I should know about" make sure to keep a fair, comfortable distance away, listen, elaborate on the things she talks about. what I try to do is start building the "Vibe"

After a while introduce yourself as if it was an afterthought, smile, and basically just ask for her number playfully "in case I need anymore directions" (only works if it's done playfully, with confidence, and with a smile)

after you have the number it's all about follow up, and possibly (preferably for me) night game, where you build off the "Vibe" and turn it into sexual escalation.

it all depends on your style in pickup though

I am in a similar postion to you.

Ok if you are a freshman, you have to hit the ground running literally on teh first day. This is because everyone is nervous and wants some companionship, especially if they don't have many friends.

Opening in that kinda situation is like taking a piss. A simple hello will be fine and then do some small talk and drop some hints.

Leave it too late and it becomes a lot more difficult.

this has worked for me and i am new to this... i find it easier too just go out to a girl and ask what class they r taking n u r planning on signing up for more classes.. ask their opinion n stuff.. go for it

On campus, you could open with "I noticed you from across the _____(hallway) and knew I would be kicking myself for the rest of the day if I did not come over and say "Hi!"
Or "I noticed you from across the _____(hallway) and I thought you guys are cute, so just wanted to say Hi!"
and then just transitions to another routine. On campus you can go almost direct.
I use this almost everywhere: beaches, malls, school, etc.
