I sometime take the train and subway during the week and I do see some impressive HB's. Is any good way to approach them without looking like a weirdo?

Yeah, there definitely is. I do it all the time and I am seventeen.

Basically, just go up to them and ask them for directions of how to get to a stop, and then once they tell you how to get there. Just ask them in a subtle tone, where you off to anyways?

(1) If on the platform - just open direct "hey listen, I know this is a bit random, but I just saw you as I was passing by, and I think you're absolutely stunning, so I had to come meet you, I'm ____" then find out quickly where they're off to and go from there.

(2) If sitting on the train: Sit next to them, and ask what they're listening to on their iPod. If they're not listening to an iPod, ask them why they don't have one, because all the cool girls do. Find out quick where they're off to, so you know how long you have. Immediately tell them they're cute if they respond at all to you, and get basic info and contact info to go on a date, or have a bit more banter depending on how many stops you have.
