Location: Chicago | | So i caught this cute blonde girl on the crunch machine checking me out/ starring at me while i was doing biceps. I wanted to go up to her but just couldnt quickly think of what to say in that situation.
"Hey so youre getting ready for summer too huh?" sounds kinda stupid.
What would YOU say?

Definately some situational opener. A comment on her workout or a question that should lead to a transition. Does not matter. As long as you do it in relaxed and positive manner you should be fine.
Btw you could initiate some additional eye contact first, just for additional IOIs before you approach
