So last week I was at a college party and I was introduced by my friend to this HB9.

Friend(female): Hi mica, this is rich, my friend
Me: hi....
HB: hi...
(AWKWARD SILENCE................)

I don't want that to happen again. I want to learn what to do or say if my wing-woman only does this kind introduction and nothing else. I think I have no problems making the conversation alive, I only need a good and interesting opener.

Please don't give me tips like: How do you know each other?, Don't be afraid to say anything, Just say what you want.
I really don't mind saying anything, its just that I can't think of an opener if i'am introduced that way.

Not knowing anything about the party is difficult for me to advise but you have to learn to throw secondary lines up after an opener .

In that situation you might say


"Do you know many of these people"
"did you see that guy over there with the yellow shirt on"

a real safe opener would be "do you know if they throw parties here often"

Or, you could ask something related to what the girl that introduced you is wearing and get her opinion. That's could be a good opinion opener

Your facial expression has to convey that you are generally interested in the answer, and you have to be able to converse from her answer.
