Familiarity open. "How have you been" Need help

So i just finished watching the stealth attraction by Gamble And I love the familiarity open i think i want to start using it but i have a question. When you come up and say how have you been , Are you supposed to say it so she knows you haven't met before and if not and you say it like you actually know her, what if she asks how we know eachother or says she doesn't remember you :S ?

You could then go direct and say "Only kidding, I just thought you're cute and wanted to come say hi!"

Gutsy, but could pay off - once again, if you do anything with enough confidence and solidity of frame you'll get good results!
