I am a complete newbie, but I tried this last night, and it actually got a pretty good response. Did I just get lucky with this, or is it worth trying again? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Set my drink on the bar next to the girl.

Me: Can you watch my drink for a second?
Girl: Sure.

(Go off to the restroom. Come back to retrieve drink.)

Me: Thanks.
Girl: You're welcome.
Me: (concerned look) You didn't slip anything into my drink did you?
Girl: No.
Me: No ruffies? Nothing like that?
Girl: Nothing.
Me: Promise?
Girl: I promise.
Me: (extending pinky finger) Pinky swear?
Girl: (pinky swearing) I swear.
Me: Okay, I'm going to choose to believe you. But if I wake up wearing a ball-gag and covered in Crisco I'm gonna know who is responsible.

i like the opener. but in practicality it can be very risky, people slip drugs into people drinks at bars and clubs all the time. other than that it is cool, but the bigger challenge is to transition after the opener to attraction and then deep rapport.
