In the days before I even knew about pick up in my early twenties ( I'm 45 now) Me and my friends used to go out drinking and on the pull in Newcastle, England on a Saturday night, usual AFC story but sometimes a workmate of mine called "Bondy"used to come out with us which we really looked forward to as he was a natural and opened sets for us due to his complete absence of AA.
One night we were all out and reports of some stunning girls came filtering through in the town, in the words of one of our informants "No shit, they're like fucking models."praise indeed! We went round a couple of bars never saw them then eventually headed to the club.
On entering the club there they were, four of them, just inside the door with a huge death row watching them.( now they would be graded Two HB 9's and Two HB10's ) Absolutley stunning to our AFC eyes...This is were it got strange,As we passed them "Bondy" comes out with "Hey look it's a Barbie, Cindy doll convention" We all laughed more from anxiety than anything else and continued to the bar were I said to my mate "Well that's that Fucked" and he replied "as if we had a chance" then we both started laughing again........THEN 15 minutes later.THEY OPENED US!!!

I would like to say this story had a happy ending but I'm afraid we went into AFC mode with the usual"You're so lovely" and "We didn't think we stood a chance with you four" rubbish and the girls got their validation and left after 20 minutes. (Bondy had previously isolated an Italian girl who couldn't even speak English!! so wasn't there to help us out)
Looking back with a good knowledge of PUA the social dynamics were simple.

We had entered the club with a "floating" value that could go any way, instantly disqualified the girls and supercharged our value in their eyes then ignored them to bring the point home.

Now of course when they approached I would have negged, cocky funny, kino pushing the full works, ah the innocence of my youth.
