Ok.. So I'm currently deployed and eating at the chow hall one day when I was suppose to meet my masseuse, who I was flirting with during my massage. Got her number and planned to meet up.

Story goes, I go to the chow hall and I see her with 2 of her friends... she doesn't see/notice me, I am in the clear. I chickened out and didn't proceed to find her or have dinner as planned (later she calls/texts asking what happened and I make up some lame excuse--apparently though this worked out in favour as she's been texting/calling more often). Continue with story though, I go and find a place in the back of the dinning hall, sit by myself/eat etc, etc. I noticed a cute red head that was sitting right in front of me on the opposite table and we crossed eye contact quite a few times (well the football game was on behind her also) so was looking over her head. Either way I don't approach but I noticed her last name so I get back to work, look her up on the GOV. email global listing and notice only one person with last name and rank matches..

So I email...and say fuck it..

"Let me first start by saying.. I typically do not email random strangers, yet it could be a fun game to play while being spontanious; however, I just had an intuition and wanted to say hi. And just to ensure that you are aware I wasn't "Staring" at you but you just happened to be right in front of the TV while I was trying to watch the game over your head, so it was difficult not to notice you. Regardless, I was curious if you'd like to have coffee this week, that is of course the coffee shop has milk (it has been out a few times).. may just have to go to the DFAC and start bringing your own there."

Today I got a response.. I wasn't expecting one but she wrote back..

I didn't think you were staring at me. I felt bad because I kept getting in the way of the TV. I felt like my mullet (she's being joking/playful, def no mullet) was blocking the view for a lot of people.

Not going to respond right away, may give it until tomorrow night as to not look like I was sitting waiting/etc. Just need to get an idea as to what would be best method to follow up/proceed to not come off like a creep/needy dumbass.
