I thought it would be a cool opener.

Hey girls. I have a question for you. Did you know that hamsters are illegal in Hawaii? I was crushed when I read that! I love hamsters! They are soooooooo cute. It sucks that I can't take a hamster to Hawaii if I wanted to.

The great thing about it that it's already a DHV that you like animals (and that might have been to Hawaii already). It also gives you a natural transition to either the neg "You guys are cute, I'm going to adopt you as my little sisters" or a future adventure projection like "Imagine the two of us naked on Hawaii. The sun is bright, the sky is blue, the sea is amazing... and we can't have a hamster with us! Then we go into the sea and start splashing each other with water..." and so on.

Any thoughts? I'm going to field-test this for some day-game tomorrow.

the general vibe I get from your openener is, it is "too girly". It kind of lacks the MAN's power, the spice, it lacks the salt in the food. Your opener feels like you are trying to suck up the the girls, with that ohhh, cute hamster, awww, giggle, giggle. Women want solid MAN power.

But that's just me.

It's not like I'm going to do that for 5 minutes. I open and then transition to push-pull, C&F and teasing.

Besides, you can make everything sound manly with the right voice tone and body language. If you project your deep voice, the only thing that they actually will hear is the sound of how awesome you are. After all, words are only 7% of the communication. If you have this stuff down, you can walk up to a girl, tell her that you're a space-bunny that she has to feed with chocolate and it will work.
Here you're going straight for emotions right from the start. That can't be bad. In any case I will first have to field-test it. My wing flaked on me for today so we'll try it tomorrow.

I say that the opener is just there to open. Besides, it looks like fun. After all, how are the girls supposed to know that I'm not messing with them? xD Tomorrow will be an interesting day.

I think that it all depends on your personality, if YOU can pull it off. You just gotta try it. I don't know your personality, I am just basing my opinion only from your text in the post (I can only read the text, I can't see your body language). Now in regards, to personality, can you imagine Clint Eastwood saying something like that? Umm, you get the point. It is not his personality to say something like that. But if YOUR personality is part of this unique style like, fun, with some unique nonsence "interesting facts", then this could work for you.

The bottom line is, are YOU personally interested that you cannot have hamsters in Hawaii? I cannot imagine too many men caring about such things. So since women assume that most men don't care about such things, the only reason you are telling them that is to talk to them (in a more sucking up to womens style), rather than from your own world. YOUR world should be that you are a man, u see a beautifull woman, and you want to talk to them, either they like it or not. You are just trying to be creative and hope that they will like the creativity. Yes, they might like the creativity, but they might question your CORE, so you might not even get anywhere.

According to my personality, I would not say something like your opener, even though I could. Since I am not personally interested in your opener, I would not come accross confident. I come accross confident in saying things that "I" only want to say. If I was forced to say your opener, I could, but that would be probably an uphill battle for me. Why start with a battle, if you can saying something else better, more from YOU? But, hey if that is what you REALLY want to say, then hey it could VERY likely work for you.

I definitely agree with that. And it actually does suit my personality. I do like animals and I can say stuff like that without coming across like a wuss or unnatural. The Hawaii fact is more or less just random, but it feels genuine when I say it because for me it is genuine. I have actually noticed that I can talk about emotions, describing them vividly without having to make faces or change my current state at all. I don't have to relive the emotion in order to be able to describe it and suck them into my frame. That's why I think it could work for me well.

Besides, if they have BSes up, you can always neg them. "Just tell me you don't like animals... You are a baaaaaad person. *smile, next routine*" xD

mmmmm id say if you approached at a 47 degree angle with a body rock out before the opener and then led on to a DHV right after the opening line another body rock, neg the target. This routine could work... Ofcourse you would have to set a time constraint on the friend and then continue to neg your target until she cannot comprehend the situation. I reccomend wearing colours that are not intimidating, this way you add that finishing touch to the gay vibe this opener establishes.

I agree about body communications. Let's say I go in with deep voice, "Hello ladies, do you know if I tuck my balls between my legs you can see my crotch and mistake me for a lady? Of course I am man, you see my muscles and you cannot make mistake!" Remember, all of this is done with a deep manly voice. This can be situational, let's say the ladies are posing like ladies. I can transition to, "You look more lady like than me." Remember, all of this is done with a deep manly voice.

Also, I can add a scientific news angle here. "They say in Mongolia, tucking balls between legs is illegal because they afraid you enter in the women's wrestling competition. This is bad! I like women. I like wrestling. But I don't want to enter women's wrestling because if you see my muscles, you know this is not fair. But they allow hamsters there so this is good news."

Actually imagining that some guy says that with a really, really deep voice feels like there's nothing wrong about it. You made me laugh so hard. xD I bet the girls would be laughing as well. Not because of the content but because they would crack under the intense sexual tension from the deep voice.
I can make my voice quite deep. Some day when I get really good at this stuff, I probably will try out some ridiculous openers like this one. xD

@jazz: Imagine doing everything exactly as you said with the exception of dressing up like a goth. That would make the target lose it even sooner. Imagine some goth dude coming up to you and starting a conversation about hamsters. That would be hilarious. xD
