I live in an apt building in downtown miami and needless to say there are HB's left and right.
I constantly see hot girls in the elevator and always make small talk for the duration of the ride but was wondering if with the less than 40 second time constraint it's even possible to close any sort of real attraction.
my strategy so far:
-i talk to everyone in the elevator always. just for practice and so it seems more natural when it's an HB and not like i'm trying to pickup.
-i usually try to open with something positive and situational. weather, fact that it's a weekend etc. and almost always get a great response.
ex. me:"great weather we're having" her:"omg i know i love it!"

so i'm opening and usually receiving a good feedback in the response and they'll usually turn towards me or keep talking until they need to get off the elevator.

any advice on how to escalate these interactions?

40 seconds? Challenge accepted.

Anyways, I think you'd be better off doing it somewhere else, cause in an Elevator you don't get a very good first impression if you start talking out of the blue.

dude just start a convo..build some comfort..if u see each other all the time, after the comfort is built. u can just say hey, wat ur doin for lunch? lets have lunch.. then number close..
