Here's the ultimate opener to defuse the Mystery "The Pickup Artist" bomb. So many people are having problems running game lately because of that show, here's an opener I've been using, and it works great. It works better if they HAVE seen the show.

Me: Hey! Question for you, have you seen that show the Pickup Artist on VH1?
HB: Yes/No

If "No" (Only include this part if she says she hasn't seen it)
Me: Oh it's this show on VH1 where this pickup artist tries to teach all of these skills for picking up women

Me: Do you think that kind of stuff works with women?
HB: No (She'll almost always say No, most any woman will say that a pre-defined set of skills won't work on her )
IF she says "Yes"
Me: Do you think that would work with you?
HB: No. (She'll never say yes, even a maybe is unlikely)

Me: Really? Why not?
HB: Because blah blah blah (usually she'll say why it wouldn't work on HER)
Me: Well I'm not saying anyone would use it on you (this is a neg, be careful about how you say it and make sure you smile)

Now if you want to discuss the show some more if she's seen it or whatever, that's fine, but try to shift to some DHV next. But anyway, the point is, you defuse the "What are you Mystery?" bomb while still using the general method right under her nose.
