| So this one is obvious..... but I thought I should reiterate this rule by telling everyone first hand how it destroyed my game.
I was at a party last night and I was doing great at opening sets. For a lot of people, especially those with low tolerance, alcohol with destroy every aspect of your game. And make no mistake, every aspect of it will undoubtedly by hindered. It slows down your thinking, and unless you have transcended the technical aspect of the game and are truly a great PUA (which very few people short of Style and Mystery are) then there will still be some level of thinking required. So stick to this rule no matter how effective you think you are. I would personally limit yourself to around 3 drinks depending on your tolerance. Enough to feel the relaxing effects are fine, but the second you get remotely tipsy, there goes your game. Never drink for false confidence.
So yeah, I was opening sets and doing surprisingly well despite my inebriated state. Winning over the guys in the group is the easiest thing you will do. It's a confidence builder, it's a social proof, its a gateway to the targets, and its easy as hell. Remember, very few guys are actually the beligerant AMOG type.
But yeah..... after a night of success and what easily would have turned into several #-closes and k-closes, I stopped early of these crucial steps to throw up a night's worth of sub-par hooch and New Amsterdam gin and pass out in that same patch of unmowed grass. I can feel good about those successful approaches, opens, negs, etc.... but by replacing the next logical steps with puking all over myself behind the building, I made those first hard-earned successes count for nothing.
Good luck guys.
