Approach the hb and say something along the lines of "thats a popular outfit. i saw like 3 other girls wearing that same thing." Or "did you get that from goodwill? i like people who are good with money, it means they aren't spoiled."

The first one is just fine, style writes something very similar in The Game. The second one I would change it like this "Did you get that from Sally Anne? I like people that know how to be thrifty!"

I like the first one as a neg not as an opener. I like the style and mystery move, taking lint out of your pocket and act like you're taking it off a girls sholder is the best opener/neg you can use. I've had lots of success with it.
