So I decided to start seriously opening HBs around campus. Weather's getting beautiful these days, and I've got a kick ass pair of shades (not that I need them to look good =p). But here's the problem about approaching on campus. It's very different from approaching HBs in the streets. It's a closed system here. Not only is there a limited number (well, several hundred technically) of HBs to pick from, there's also the problem of wanting to not gain a reputation for being the guy who's always trying to pick up chicks. Is it actually safe to go all out and approach many different girls a day? Something tells me it's not, and that's not just the inner AFC in me talking.

I only approached one today. Why? A lot of HBs are listening to their iPods, have their cell out, or have a nasty facial expression that says 'FML no one talk to me I'm pissed'. Also, I was out mainly during the time in between classes. Giant cluster-fucks of people. I know this kind of shit is a poor excuse to not approach for a PUA, minus the part where the girl has a FML look on her face, but how does a PUA overcome this?

The girl I opened was a HB8 (no iPod, cell, or FML face) in a quieter part of campus. Weird result. I said 'hey' and she looks at me then kind of looks away like she doesn't want to talk. I'm thinking 'you stuck up bitch, I'm at the VERY LEAST average looking, and I'm definitely good looking with these amazing shades I have on', but then I say 'I need your opinion on something'. Her attitude immediately changes for whatever reason. She smiles and says warmly, 'sure'. So I run my opinion opener. She was hooked. But somewhere during the conversation she mentioned a boyfriend. I immediately thought of this forum and proceeded to not give a shit. After some more small talk, I decided to go instead of DHVing. I was late for something anyways. What I find interesting is how she initially wanted to just ignore me and keep walking, but how she suddenly opened up when I said I wanted her opinion. And she was very open during the conversation too, didn't act bored or like she wanted to leave ASAP or whatever, and wasn't stuck up at all. What the fuck.

By the way, I'm at the library for many hours this week. Gotta love having a shitload of assignments, midterms, and a lab. How would a PUA go about opening HBs who are busy studying? I was in this quiet group study area with some friends. This HOT asian chick was sitting alone in the table in front of me. Didn't even notice how hot she was until she turned around to take shit outta her bag. I really wanted to approach but she looked quite busy. My friends were there too, and I didn't wanna risk getting shot down in front of them. I find this funny cause not long ago when some other dude on this forum asked if it's OK to open a girl sitting by herself at a cafe/whatever and I told him to be like 'fuck it I'll go for it'. Some things are seriously easier said than done. Hope tomorrow goes better.

First off PUA came about because losers forgot to get girls in college and when they got out they realized the only place they could Pick them up was in a bar.

Be careful about your inherent respect for the dark arts. They are dark for a reason.

Second women who study don't want to pick up men. They want to study.

Third if you just said hi to a women for no reason then your a creep looking to talk to a girl and make it awkward for her. After you said "I need your opinion" she opened up because it was no longer awkward. She knew exactly what you wanted from her. As far as your reputation. Well I have a great reputation and I flirt with hot girls all the time. Its not a big deal. As long as you don't hit on them and make them uncomfortable. Try and be cool, and less worried about succeding. Just relax and have fun. Your love will fall into your lap like a wet blanket.

Magnum, that's good advice, but something tells me that a PUA wouldn't let the fact that a girl's busy studying stop him from working his magic. Sure, it probably is an uphill battle, but isn't not going for it losing right from the start? Today when I hit up the library I'm gonna just fucking slide in and run my shit. If it goes sour whatever. I always forget to stop taking this PU business so seriously and just have fun. Today I'm gonna have try to have fun.

By the way, what about the giant cluster-fucks of people in between classes? I don't bother talking to chicks that aren't hot. Some people say it's practice, but it's so different. Some of these chicks are so happy some dude's actually talking to them. When you're talking to a HB, there's actually challenge involved. Plus it's not as fun to talk to ugly chicks, so I never bother unless I know them through friends. This is an interesting issue, I'm totally starting a thread on it.

The point is though...I tend to wait for the right HB to walk past/by me. She has to be at least a 6, and available for talking. The problem with approaching in this case is that she's gonna think 'why do you want my opinion? you just passed like 15 other girls, why me?'. Again, this is probably AFC logic. Correct me with the PUA logic if you can.

And DJ, that might work in September, but this is March. Even a freshman will know where shit is by now. Not only is it kind of obvious you have an ulterior motive, you also kind of look like a dumb ass if you ask where a popular building is, and that lowers your value. My campus is pretty well marked anyways...huge signs in front of every building. It is a good indirect opener however if you don't use it stupidly and ask for off campus shit I guess.

Mr Metal you are a litter superficial. I find that the ugly girls are the ones with the most to offer you. They don't mind driving, or helping you. The HOT ones are the ones that make you cater to them.

Do some innergame stuff. There is more to life than just looks. You might be worried about your reputation because if ugly people knew what you really thought, then they wouldn't like you... just a thought.

I disagree a bit here. Pretty girls can have a lot to offer too besides just the looks department. Ugly girls are just more receptive because they are more desperate to please a guy [more on that later].

It's not really gaming if its an ugly girl; ugly girls don't really need game.

Remember this: Looks are a pre-requisite. This is why the poster isn't going to ask the ugly girls.

Other qualities are what differentiate the woman. They are what makes you want to stay around her. We've all had the experience where we're gaming a HB then you realize all of a sudden she's otherwise a complete loser. An ugly girl can be a great friend, but would I fuck her?

Here's the test if you should approach her... "If she were lying in my bed when I wake up in the morning and I see her, would I be grossed/weirded out?" If the answer is yes, move on.

Now, back to what I said earlier...

A woman's #1 goal is to please a man. The thing that makes her want to please a specific man is that so many other women want to please him too. She will go for the best she can, unless she can keep it quiet or justifiable in the eyes of herself or her friends (for a virgin her parents too).

Advice: if you don't want a rep, stay away from Greek Life. Then again, that's where you'll meet a lot of girls, but it's awkward. Maybe try gaming at a different school than you go to. Also, check out day game because if you do night game in something like this you'll for sure seem like a creep even you really aren't.

First off never use any excuse in approaching women, fuck it if there on cellphone who cares, if there riding a bike who cares.... and you need to develop the mind frame WHO CARES, so what if your with your friends and u get rejected, its not even like there trying or doing any better.... I am a college student as well and to me this is the best semester weather is starting to be sunny, shorts are getting shorter and skirts and coming back out... I personally suggest opening with something natural I usually like a formal fitting compliment usually something unique such as that shirt looks amazing on you, they usually say thank you then preceed with the introduction my name is such and such... then from there keep the convosation rolling....
