okay so i work at and ice cream shop, over the summer alot of pretty girls have come and gone, but it was really busy so there was little to no time to even try to pick up a girl

but since school just started and things are about to get slower as the temperature goes down, i will have more time and opportunities to pick up girls while at work

alot of the time i think about it and most of the time if i could and some of the times i did engage in convo not regarding about ice cream, they were situational openers, so i need some tips and advice on just starting convo while being on the job

i know essentially its the same thing if i wasnt working, but i just think it feels different and thats why i have trouble with it

Actually, it is different. You are serving them and this puts you at a disadvantage in the beginning.

This can be easily thwarted though with your infinite knowledge about their personality due to their Icecream choice. (hint hint)

When they make a choice give them the "oh, your THAT kind of girl" attitude, then when they ask what kind of girl give them a cold reading (get the pun?) and explain how the choice of ice cream tells about deep personality traits.
That or neg them about their choice.
