I've been using this opener the past week to break apart larger sets with a wingman and its working pretty well.

CHASE: my brother and i have been arguing about this whole Micheal Vick ordeal, and we need some input.
Sunny:(my wing) I don't get the big deal, if he was killing people then there wouldn't be this much of an outrage.
Chase: but he was brutalizing defenseless animals.

at this point the set takes over, we divide the set into opposing groups and conveniently for me most guys side with sunny and the chicks side with me. once we separate these larger sets we work on isolating our targets from the smaller groups.
at some point to gain redemption sunny tells the set that he is a vegetarian but he is just deathly afraid of dogs and the girls that he was bickering with eat that up.
