Me- Wow, sounds great!
Me, to bartender- I’ll have a Jack and Coke. (not the blah-blah)
I’m hoping it’ll come off as funny and go from there.

Meh, it might create some conversation with some girls, but it isn't showing that you are especially interesting or playful. But then again, that can be solved by whatever you say next.

MagicJ stresses this all the time. All it takes is JUST SAYING ANYTHING. So, try it out and let us know.

I instructed one of my buddies to do something similar. He saw this girl he wanted to talk to sitting at the bar talking to some old guy. He asked me what to say to her. I told him to go up to her and say this:

Him: What are you drinking?
HB: xyz drink
Him: Is it good?
HB: yes/no/maybe
Him: Cool! You're my new drinking buddy (invites HB to come drink with us)

It worked, and he brought her over to where we were drinking at.

only issue i have with this, and its like any type of "question" you ask as an opener. Is the fact that it can backfire and not lead anywhere. for example:

You: Hey what are you drinking?
HB: jack and coke... (and turn away)

Its just kinda trickey because it can not lead anywhere, if you are not carefull and then your fucked. Questions as openers can cause a girl to put up her "Protection Shield" because she has heard that same question countless times, and she is over it, so she will just blow you off. Build attraction first. don't skip steps. With a question as an opener you telegraph intrest.

PS: Remember to not approach when a girl is about to order drinks or you game (opener) could be interupted. THE THREE MINIUTE RULE.

I think it's ok to open a girl that's about to order a drink if its busy and u know it'll take her at least a minute to get served. One spin off of a traditional AFC opener i devised is as follows:

(A hot chick comes up by me while i'm waiting to order at the bar)
Me: (make eye contact) So, what are u getting?
Girl: xyz drink
Me: (look towards the bartender a second, then look back and if she's still holding interest) Oh I wasn't gonna get it for you, I was just asking! (Then laugh at her) What's your name?

Then basically do what you can to hook her and if u think she's worth the gamble, order your drink plus the xyz drink she wanted. It's up to your own discretion whether to throw money down, I'm still a beginner and I think most girls appreciate it as long as you keep DHV. Any other variations to this are welcome if you guys wanna share your own ideas.
