| I'm a big basketball fan, so I'll use basketball for my analogy. Can you imagine what would happen if Lebron James, only focused on basketball on game day? No practices, no locker room footage, no weight and calisthenic training, no dieting, just going out on the floor and giving it his all. I'd think you agree, in a matter of time, he'd suck.
Picking up women is no different. So I want to draw some of the parallels I've found in the game and the game of basketball. I'm also interested to hear what ideas you guys have as well
Drills & Practice- In basketball you practice dribbling, shooting free throws, layups, sprints and a bevy of other drills to make you the best player ever. It's similar in picking up women. One drill I used to have was game everyone. I don't care if it was the 60 year old lady at the supermarket or the guy at the gas station, I would open everyone, use transitions, tell stories, etc. with everyone I could. Obviously there were limitations as I would not kino the guy at the gas station or give IOI's, but I would practice my material on anyone I could, so that when it was critical I could easily remember and give my material. I still have a belief that a person who is naturally attractive to women is overall attracts people naturally. And this was one of the most beneficial things that made me get good at game.
Watch pre-game footage- A good player will be in the locker room reviewing their opponents past games to get a feel of how they play the game and what the player needs to do to defend and score on the opponent. A good player knows that in order to beat their opponent they first need to think like their opponent- get in their head. Picking up women is no different. Early in my quest for picking up women I would watch and study them to get a feel of how they operate. I would go out to a club and imagine myself in their shoes. I could see the hour they spent perfecting their makeup, I could see the 7 sets of clothes they went through to figure out what that night. I could see how they were competing with the other girls in their group to get the attention of the dominant female. These observations alone allowed me to know them much better than they knew me (and sometimes themselves) when I would finally approach. In addition, I used to watch the Jessica Alba's and Paris Hilton's on TV when they would do interviews and try to get a read on them based on their body language. The information gave me good insight into how to approach HB10's. Lastly I would constantly study men's interactions with women. Whether the guy was married or trying to pick up on a chick, I would watch for cues on what worked and what did not work.
Dieting and Conditioning- To be a superstar at basketball you have to be in good shape. This means eating well and exercising in a way that gives you the competitive edge. Pickup is no different. Literally dieting well and conditioning will give you more energy and a higher sense of self confidence. But aside from that there are other factors that will help your game as well. We've all heard about inner game, and to me this is the foundation of good conditioning. Whether it is reading seduction books, reading self-help literature, volunteering, etc. a good mental diet will give you an added advantage in picking up women. Too many times I see guys who are trying to master pickup when all the other parts of their lives are in shambles. We talk about self-confidence, but it's hard to have self-confidence when you live your life far below your potential. Along those lines....
Execute a sound gameplan- You can't go into a basketball game without a gameplan of how you are going to defeat the opponent. It's no different with picking up women. For newbies, I'd highly suggest a routine stack to get you acclimated to the art of picking up women. It amazes me how a guy who has all the aspects of his life in order except women can master the art of picking up women surprisingly fast. I think the reason is because the path to success is virtually the same at almost anything you do. You decide what the end result looks like, you develop a gameplan to get there, you take immediate ACTION starting at step one, you review to see if what you are doing is working, and you taper your actions until you get what you want.
Lastly Visualization & Anchors- If you ask a pro basketball player to act as if they are taking a shot without a ball in their hands, they will go through all the mechanics as if they had the ball and will visualize that ball as it travels into the net. It is the result of having taken so many shots in the game and visualizing the shots they will have to take in tough situations. A good visualizer will not only visualize their actions, but will also visualize what they are thinking and feeling. They will condition their mind to feel and think in such a way that gives them the best chance at performing at the highest level possible. You can witness their mental rehearsal at the free throw line. Many players have a "routine" they go through right before they shoot that shot where they mentally visualize the shot. I thought the idea was corny, until a wingman suggested it to me to help with my AA. It was funny because I can still remember the first time I started to visualize an approach, I could feel my stomach churning as if I was actually approaching a set. With enough practice and conditioning I was able to visualize myself with excitement and euphoria in approaching sets rather than nervousness. You can do the same thing. I'd challenge you to visualize your approaches and sets in as much detail as possible. Come up with common scenarios you are sure to run into out in the field. Practice not only how you will behave to deal with these scenarios, but also how you will feel in the midst of the interactions.
That's all I have for now.... _________________ Elite Game to destroy the competition...YouGetTheGirl.com!!!
