Hey, I'm new to the community. Been reading up on various field reports, as well as openers and routines. However, I ran into a situation today @ a local bar with some buddies of mine.

We decided to go outside on the patio of the bar for a smoke. Ran into a 3-set. Unfortunately, we didn't open the three set...they approached us first for a light. We started with some negs on our targets, which lead to some basic routines. However, I wasn't able to number close in the time we were outside. Later on the night we were able to number close when we met them a second time inside the bar.

My main question is...what do I treat a smoke break as in terms of game? Do I consider it as daytime game? Because basically I have the time it takes to smoke a cigarette to get the girl interested enough to move locations.

I'm not really sure what you mean. Smoking is for openers and can me used at any time of the day. It's up to you to do the rest.

I personally don’t think so… a smoking patio is still within the club SPAM, people just going outside for a quick smoke, I think it still has the club intensity... keep the energy high

When it comes to picking up chicks, the smokebreak is a killer (even though I wish I never started smoking). Because
a) She knows you'll be gone by the time you've finished your smoke (instant TC)
b) Smokers are naturally social people, so starting up a conversation while outside smoking is low-key, just saaaailing in under that radar!

That said, keep the energy that belongs to the place. Even if you are outside you are still "at the club", so there is no point in changing gameplan!

And for all you kids out there: Smoking is not cool
