So there is this chick my sister knows and I'd like to get her number, but the problem is I never see her anywhere. My sister sees her probably twice a week and they kinda know each other. My sister suggested that she would ask her for her phone number and give it to me. I told my sister that that's a big NEGATIVE. It kinda sends a message that I am not capable of getting her phone number myself. But I really don't have any options. I don't see the girl anywhere and I cannot get her number.
What do you guys think?
And what if my sister gave her my number and told her that I have something to ask her? That's low risk right?
If she gives her my number and the girl calls me or texts me, then I could ask her something related to her job or some crap just to make it sound I really wanted to ask something.

how about...asking your sister to meet with her at a place and time. And you pick her up from there. GOOD LUCK!

your right. get it independantly. you never see her? how does your sister know her? your sister however, can help you big time on this one. ask her to tell the girl that your coming out with them. once your with them - remember the aim. whats the aim? the number? NO. the aim is her. so dont ask for her number straight away. have a laugh and everything - and isolate her.
