So this is an opener my buddy came up with and it is a great way to lead into a neg.

So many of you will know that a recent style trend for woman is to wear high boots with their jeans/pants tucked in.

Find one of these girls and go up to them and proceed:

Kingjester: Hey, let me ask you something.
HB: Uh, okay?
Kingjester: I notice that all you girls these days are tucking their pants into their boots (slight neg, making her feel like she is not unique)
HB: Yeah
Kingjester: Well I'm confused...do you put on your boots and then tuck in your pants, or do you tuck them is as you are putting on your boots?
HB: (doesn't matter what they say)
Kingjester: Really? I would have thought it would be easier to do ____(opposite of what she said she does)

Then proceed with what every routine you like to go into...

I've seen it work dozens of times, because it is soo out of the ordinary that they don't think for a minute that you are trying to pick them up. Plus, if you pull it off with the right tone and format, you can make it sound like a neg and make them feel uncomfortable/insecure about their shoes and style... I love it.

Not bad.. You could add "Or did you just regret making those jeans cutoffs" ;P

Im from seattle and girls always tuck there pants into there boots do to the rain (I hate seattle because of this) so I think it's a great opener.

The only thing I might change is anchor it with something:

Me: "Well the reason I'm asking is because my friend is from seattle and we were talking about how the girls do that out there but we were confused about whether you put on your boot's first and then tuck your pants into them, or do you tuck them in as your putting on your boots?"

It makes it seem less akward and shows her that you have friend (small DHV) and make sure to add a time constraint.

Other than that it sounds good mate keep up the good work.

I like that... I'm working on my new system, 'eratics' -- essentially acting unpredictably and asking out of the ordinary questions... I'm doing this (in case you care) because of the large number of AMOGS in my dens... and, so far so good... I'll divulge when i've got the whole system sorted
