I usually use situational material but I've come up with a canned opener that might do the trick when you just want to cold approach a girl. I was thinking of just stopping in front of her and saying, "Hey, I only have a couple of minutes but the most amazing/weird/strange/bizarre (which one would be best here?) thing just happened to me. I was walking up the road/in a bar/at the library/whatever and these two girls walked past and one of them pinched my butt! I was like, hey what did you do that for and her reply was that I had a cute butt! What do you think of that?!"

Ok, you can add other stuff like "Do you think it's appropriate for young women to be doing such things? Would you ever do something like that?". Based on what her response is you can work this routine to create some IOI for it's most likely she will check your ass out when you mention the "cute butt" bit. There is opportunity to neg here also with something like, "were you just checking my ass out as? Geez, women these days!".

This opener I feel has two advantages, firstly it is quite a funny situation and should have your target laughing and secondly it already takes care of your pre-selection requirements.

I think you need to have a real "wow" factor about you to make your story believable. Of course then you have to break into A2 and all that other stuff before you number close and eject.

What do you think? I am going to try field testing this approach.

I don't think its great as an opener, try adjusting it to a routine.

Its easier to get better responses once you've built comfort.

I agree, it's too long to be an opener. Maybe start off with, hey can I get your opinion on something, do you think it's okay for girls to pinch guy's butts when they don't know them? (yes/no/whatever), because the weirdest thing just happened to me....and go into your story.

You could then go into why it seems acceptable for girls to do it but not the other way round, social dynamics etc.

I like the way Clansey put it. Feels alot more natural than the original

I agree this might just work. If it fails and you have to eject you can leave with, "alright I gotta shoot, but as I walk away, don't you be admiring my butt now!"
