I need some clarification on this approach. So i was with a group of people at a science event , we just met so i dont already know them all. Theres a girl that catches my attention, i open with:

Me "Hey, this may be crazy but are you a fashion model ?"

Her " Really why would you think that ?" and she laughs and smiles at the same time

Then i say something about her skirt and she says she doesnt wear them all the time.

The opener goes well.

We keep talking and i get the sense shes a little bit shy and reserved but she is also excited about learning new things since she says shes into elctricty and the engineering field.

Later i tease her about her profession being heavy duty and how she is very light for it. And about being childish for making kid toys at the science stations. She tells me she doesnt care what people think and makes a suprised gesture and has a palyful tone in her voice

At the food court i use the psyche questions to build rapport

what kind of animal would you be and why?

If there was a closed space and you were surrounded by water and you couLd breathe what would you do?

If you were in a closed space with a white room, no doors, and a way out how would you react?

She was amazed at how well i guessed who she was as a person

Everything to this point suggested we were building a connection but we had some major differences:

She was a realist and science fiction based and i was into the supernatural and fantasy

She knew alot of science realted facts and its was hard to display as much information as she had about certain things.

At times i wasnt sure if i was being to close to her too much because i thought if i was to wander away from her I was gonna lose the connection i was trying to build.

Buy the end of the day she wasnt as open with her body language and wasnt making as much eye contact

So im trying to figure out what went wrong with the interaction.

Was it because she was the shy and excited type that is slow to opening up and being vunerable or did i not build enough attraction or display enough value to keep her interested untill the end, or go for the number close quicker, and how to improve in this situation?

Honestly A number of things could have gone wrong here...

I wouldn't take it to serious right now. I would just try and

talk to her normally and text her here and there when you can.



Find out what date she can hang out and then take it from there man.
