I just got this urge to text my ex girlfriend from 5 years ago, I'm not too sure how I go about talking to her because it's a long distance thing. She's in Chicago and I'm in Boston. We were together for 5 months, and I broke up with her cause I was inexperienced and wanted to meet more girls, and because the distance was killing me. A lot has changed since then, and I've met up with her once or twice since we broke up just to get dinner because I was in Chicago for a little bit, and she was in Boston one time. It's been about a year and a half since I talked to her. Yes we're on good terms (she doesn't hate me). So does anyone have any good texting openers to shoot to the lost flame? Or should I just phone call her out of the blue?

Sorry for the late reply! I've been studying for exams. My intentions... It'sa little oneitis based but I lost my v card to her and fucked up the relationship cause I was too needy and then went off to college, it's not terrible just usual college freshman relationship breakup. We're both graduated mow and working so I guess it's to see if I can spark something up with her again.

Go for it. Just be friendly. Don't expect her to be interested. She's probably moved on.

Just use a more playful line:
"Hey YOU! Guess what?"
"Fuck!"
"Uh oh..."
"Its over."
"Why?"
"Well that sucks..."
"YES. FUCKING YES!"

"That's weird.."
"I have bad news for you"
"I hope you're ready"
"Are you ready?"


...She's usually answer with a question asking "Oh what's up?"
