...if you want to be special here, yeah maybe showing no interest will do the trick if she just does not forget about you once the new person in the bar comes to give her attention. I'm sure you are unique in many things, just show her your uniqueness if she doesn't like it thank her for saving you a lot of time, energy and pain later on...
IMHO, body language will do the trick. Don't show interest by avoiding making eye contact initially, assume she isn't present, walk straight as if you're gonna reach a target, head front & straight, both hands waving normally. It's good if you are both walking in opposite direction & you DON'T make eye contact at all INITIALLY for 2-3 times, not more than that.
After you have done this for 2-3 times, either SHE will be TEMPTED to approach you, or, next time, you should throw your opener with a STRONG eye contact. STRONG here means maintaining eye contact 3 seconds more than hers.
I had that experience, a HB8 used to come at gym. Initially, I didn't made eye contact at all, not just with this one, but with all the girls in gym. And then on 4th day, she approached me with "Are you working on this?" with a plain questioning face. I was doing shoulder pull, I kept quiet for 2 secs & then nodded my head once, made eye contact to express that 'yes, I'm using it'. Hell, she knew that I'm working out, but that was her approach. After completing, I told her, "Now, you can...(pause)...use that" to which she replied "Thanks". Considering that as an IOI, I later asked her to have breakfast together with a STRONG eye contact to which she said yes. Job done, I # closed her.
See how it works & where it is going. Most conversation is non-verbal. Little clues, eye contact, (pause), micro-expressions, etc...which make you SEEM unique.
The initial eye contact avoidance is what will make
you come off as you dont care, or arent really interested, causing her to think to herself " what so special/ different about this guy? most guys usually try to hit on me, whys he so different"
It worked for me, hope it'll work for you too!
