After scanning the room a few times with my wing, I quickly noticed that a good portion of the girls with borefriends looked bored as shit. A live band was playing in this bar and most of the couples were listening to the band.
Pretty much all of the couples were simply standing around being wallflowers and the girls looked so un-entertained.
I opened an attractive girl walking by me with:
- "Hey real quick. I noticed that all of the girls in here with boyfriends look really bored. They're just standing there holding hands bored as shit. The guy is just standing there with his beer in his hand (motioned like I was holding a beer in my hand) listening to the music, not entertaining his girl at all. What's with that?"
- Her: "Yeaa I noticed that too."
- "Are you one of the unlucky girls with a boring boyfriend standing around?"
- Her: "No. I'm not thankfully."
It opened great and I believe that it could be a pretty good opener to use in a crowded bar. Plus you can find out if she has a boyfriend from the beginning of the conversation without it feeling pushed at all.

I believe right after she signified that she noticed "my opener," I followed up with:
(with a big smile on my face and laughing) - "So are you one of those girls stuck with the boring boyfriend tonight?" -- something like this
- her: Haha no I'm not.
Only field tested once, so can't say it would work everytime. But she giggled and it didn't feel like I forced the typical "Do you have a boyfriend?" frame on her. Her response led me to believe that she was comfortable immediately giving out that info.

That follow up question requires you to say the word boyfriend as to avoid any vague responses to being single or not. Could be used later in convo for the isolation phase. _________________ I see it all perfectly; There are two possible situations - one can either do this or that. I'm not really a fan of the "hey real quick" but obviously it works. Good stuff.
