Hey guys, I'm relatively new at this, but I've read the game and some other materials, and I decided to try a little email sarging via Craigslist. Now I know a lot of you are going to say that email sarging isn't the right way to go about things to begin with, but for a shy guy like me, it's a comfortable first step. Anyway, the following are a series of emails that I had with a girl I met. She hasn't responded to my last one, and I can't figure out what's wrong.

ME: Hey,
I'm really new at this whole thing too, but I just saw your craigslist ad and I'd be really interested in meeting up with you some time. I am a 24 year old grad student living in ____ who loves to have a good time. I am 5'10'', 155lbs, with green eyes, dark hair, and dark features. Email me back if you're interested in talking, exchanging pics, or meeting up or something!

HER: Hey Jay, thanks for responding! I'm ______ by the way =)
Do you have myspace?

ME: Hey _______,
No, I don't have myspace yet, but I'm thinking of signing up for an account. What's your myspace address? Do you have AIM?

HER: Yes I do have aim...my sn is whatever. Do you have a pic?

ME: Yes, I have a pic, but I can't just going around giving it out to every crazy girl that wants it, haha... tell me a little more about you... what are your interests? Hobbies? Goals?

HER: lol Understandable...that's why I ask for a pic first haha. I want to filter through the creeps. Let's see...I'm 21 I work for an Insurance Co. full time and go to school at night. I'm living on my own and fully support myself. With the spare time I actually have I usually stay close to home and try not to spend a lot of money. I'm very crafty so I like to draw, decorate, paint ect. I love baking...and I'm experimenting with cooking lol. I'm a very picky eater so It's kind of hard. I listen to just about all kinds of music...I'm really shy until I get to know people...anything else you want to know just ask =)

ME: Haha, I know what you mean. What are you going to school for? I'm a picky eater also, and I LOVE to cook - mostly experiments, but I've made some pretty magical dishes if I do say so myself . That's cool about the painting, drawing, etc. I am a musician, so I'm into creativity and art in that way... I really love to play, watch, and listen to all kinds of music.
How long have you lived in ____? How do you like it? What's your favorite thing about yourself?

HER: Hey! I actually live in town an apartment complex...I've lived there for a year and a half now. I grew up in _____ then moved to ______ for 2 years after I graduated and here I am now lol. I love living on my own and being independent! Hm, my favorite thing about myself...I've never been asked that before lol. Do you mean physically or personality wise? =)

ME: Hey,
That's cool. I really love the south, and I've spent a great deal of time in _______ and some in _______ too. What made you decide to move to SC? That's really cool that you're supporting yourself and being independent... it's a great feeling. As for your favorite thing about yourself, how about both - physically and personality wise?

HER: My dad and stepmom actually live in ______. I wanted to get out of the small little town I grew up in (living with my Mom, stepdad, half bro and sis) My brother and sister are 8 and 12 and I really missed watching them grow up so that is what made me move back here. My favorite thing physically is probably my hair...lol and personality wise...I'm a very compationate person. Even if the person I hated most was in trouble I put my feelings aside and am willing to do whatever I can to help. I'm going to school for nursing so I guess that is important =)

What about you?

ME: Haha, your hair, huh? That's an original one... come to think of it, I kind of like my hair also... oh and my eyes... plus there's my dashing good looks... and I can't leave out my well toned physique... oh yeah, and my wonderful ass . And my best personality trait is my modesty, hahaha. No, seriously, I think my favorite physical characteristic is my eyes. My favorite personality trait would probably be my sense of humor (in case you couldn't tell lol), or my music, but I have kind of a love/hate relationship with my music, so that probably doesn't count. I'm also really family oriented, which I think is a good thing. I have a younger brother who goes to school in ______, and my parents live in ______ where I was raised.

I think its sounding good! You're being cocky/funny which is good! I don't see anything glaringly wrong with the conversations! I understand you being stressed but its only been two days... Things could have gotten really busy for her OR she could be trying to get a good pic of herself before she sends you one... I've had friends do that before! LOL!! Give her a few more days!

Thanks for the positive words dude! I was going for the whole cocky & funny thing, so I'm glad that came across well. I hope you're right about the business and/or pic thing... I'll let you know if she responds soon.

I think maybe what couldve gone wrong is she just said that whole part bout how compassionate she is and being a nurse and caring for people and u kind of ignored and went too cocky funny. She seems kinda shy you could scare her off goin too cocky.

Too many e-mails. An early hang-up with gaming online is that you have too many e-mail exchanges. Its fun and safe, but it also increases the likelihood of the HB getting bored. It shouldn't take more than a few e-mails from you to get a number, and then one phone conversation to set up a date. Anything more than that increases the likelihood of the connection dying out.

Save all of the getting to know you stuff for meeting in person. E-mail is used to DHV and to be provocative...to make her want to get to know you more. Don't get bogged down in telling your life story or asking hers.
