1. Sit or stand near to a bar when opening, like sitting on something or having your hand resting on the bar or your drink on it. This gives off the impression you are more or less seated in the environment and hence that you're not "on the move." It insinuates that you already knew the people you converse with. Effect is entirely opposite when you open in the middle of the dancefloor.

2. Open up anyone, chat up to anyone, and see whose responses are most promising and scout who rewards your investment with investments back. Then number close that person.
