What're some openers I can use that are meant for parties (or nightclubs)? Heck, I don't get invited that often, but to plan ahead definitely puts me ahead of things.
Well first of all come to the nightclub and make friends with the bartenders and promoters.
Secondly ask people how they know the host / promoter etc.
Openers that work all the time:
"Hey can you guys take a picture of us?"
"My friend really likes this place. How did you discover it?"
"Hey could you guys watch my drink? I'll be right back."
Follow up:
"Have you guys ever been to XYZ?"
"American?" "Where from"
"Man I always wanted to see XYZ"
