Ok, after work on Friday just gone (I work at a pub, I was on a close that night. Didn't get out til 2am,) myself and 3 of my colleagues (2 guys and a girl) went to a different pub, one open til 3. When we got there, a girl greeted my female colleague with a scream (quite painful, but made her memorable.) After a while, I went to the bar to get a drink. The scream girl squeezed in next to me, slight contact but not much. Few moments passed, she looked up at me and smiled. I introduced myself, got her name, and found out that one of her friends has a crush one of the male colleagues that came with. Made me promise not to tell anyone.

After that, one of her friends came over and got her to go and dance (although asked me first if I was scream's cousin, then someone else's cousin. Apparently I look like a cousin.) I got her name, but conversation dried up shortly after starting.

In retrospect, what could I have done differently? Any ideas?

I would've worked the angle on the crush. Get her to tell you why she likes the guy. Try to get her to start talking sexual. Then talk with Scream about it and gossip like you are on the schoolyard. Then tell her that you have a secret crush on her. Calibrate and say just kidding if she looks creeped out. If she responds with an ioi then keep going with it and get physical with kino.
