Being a college student, I am in lectures halls and classes of all different sizes, from 30 to 300. In a bigger class, what are some ideas for approaching and opening?

I dont think I would have an issue if I walked in and sat down next to a HB, then it would be easy just to start a conversation about whatever. What I have trouble with is already arriving to class, then seeing a HB somewhere else in the lecture hall during class time. If I want to open her at some point, should I do it after class or wait until next time to try to sit next to her? I feel like trying to sit next to her is wasting time, because I am not guaranteed to sit next to her next time, and someone else might, and I'll miss the chance.

What are some ideas for opening while leaving/outside the lecture hall immediately after class has ended?

Possible limiting belief: I feel like if I open her about something related to class, she will wonder why I didn't just ask someone that was around me during class, and will be immediately put on guard.
