I asked a friend for HB8's number because she has a friend who is selling a iPhone for dirt cheap and I was interested. My friend told her that I'd gotten her number. Apparently they thought I was interested in her. I changed my mind about the phone, so I never called her. She mentioned to my friend a couple days ago that I hadn't called yet. How would I approach her? Should I tell her about the reason I got her number? Seems like that would make a good neg. I'd like to have a shot at her. Has it been too long (a week and a half)?

You first want to get her in person. Talking through text or over the phone won't allow you to hit those attraction switches you need to hit. Once you do qualify her, build rapport through comfort and trust, figure out if you like her, look for IOI's from her, try and kino a bit, try and escalate things. The key is setting up some face to face time with her.

Let her know why you got her number in the first place(in a playful way, kinda teasing her) but let her know that you guys should have coffee, drinks, or whatever together soon. Ask her what her schedule looks like(this way you will avoid her telling you "no" due to her being busy when you through out a time and a date. Always try to find ways to get more "yes" than "no's" no's are bad and kill attraction.It wont kill ALL attraction but slowly the more the girl tells you "no" in a way or form it decreases your value incrementally. I will actually be writing a post on this soon) Once she tells you her schedule let her know yours(that you are busy guy with a life) try and match your schedule with hers and plan the meet up.
