There were a two set at the check out, there was a HB5 and HB8. When I came into the check out line HB8 went outside for a moment, leaving her purse on top of her basket, in the mean while HB5 was checking out her stuff and watching HB8's purse.

When HB8 came back she take the purse and puts it around her arm. I quickly opened "Oh, I thought for a moment there Krogger sells purses". Then she laughed.

After that it went silent because she was trying to get her credit card out, and seeing the items being check out. I wish I could get a number close or built attraction at the time, it seemed like time is very limited here. At least I practiced opening spontaneously that night, so I gave myself some probs for it.

What would you have done if you were in my situation after that opening? Say you had 3 mins to work it.

You were in a tough spot. Checking out meant they were about to leave. That's like approaching a girl on her way out the door of the club. If they had milk or ice cream in their cart then they're on a mental time clock and no matter how good you are they're probably gonna end it.

Its easier to approach at the grocery store in aisles where they can just put back spoiling food for fresh stuff. Produce is a great section because you can elicit advice on picking out stuff or you can open with a funny story, "Oh man I can't get apples anymore, not after that time with the clown, the border patrol, that donkey, and the milk maid from Wisconsin." I just made that up, and [i]I[/i] want to know the end of that story.

I always look for single girls by what they have in their basket. If it Microwave stuff, I generally assume that she's single. Then, I ask her a question about what wine to buy or how to choose a good melon etc.

Soon, as you have her attention, all you do is make a coment about how the Microwave food is so unhealthy and that you should go out together one time and have some proper food.

She was so beautiful I had to open, didn't really think I was going to close with anything. Now that I sit back and internalize what went in as memory now I can better my game next time. I may not close, but if I see her at a party I can briefly clock her state of mind back to the moment I made her laugh.

My openings are good now, I open every person I see that are in a situation which I cannot ignore. Sticking with the rules moving targets will not be considered.
