Hey guys. I've visited this forum several times and it has helped me put out some good openers, but the girls are just lame and boring. I did get a couple replies, however. That's why I want to know for sure that it's not me that went wrong. Excuse me for not using terms or acronyms correctly, I'm new.
Anyways, here's my current dilemma. I just came across this 10 4 years older than me, VERY nice eyes, but she hardly has a description. Just basically the usual likes beach, movies...says she's got a profession in neurology. Here's what I'm thinking about using so let me know what you think I need to do.
"Hey, you're a neurologist? Sound's pretty serious. But, so am I when I say I think you have very pretty eyes. What else are you good at?"
Should i change that last question a little bit?

If she is an attractive woman, she will be getting 100's of messages a day. You must send an incredibly unique first message to warrant a response.

You will need to trigger an emotion.

I suggest you think this one out, if you really want to have an effect on her, I would find something interesting about her field of work and try to associate it with some humor.

Don't compliment her eyes, rather make a statement about her eyes.


They say the eyes are the gate way to the soul, and you can get an idea of someone's character by looking deep into them. Being on the scientific side of that equation( neurology) do you think it is possible?

These are just examples, but I think would be more effective then your initial opening. Use your own style, but for god sakes, make some effort. Unless you want to be like the other 100 guys that messaged her.

Well other than being a little hard on me (which is no big deal IM A MAN) thanks for the reply. It is on a dating site. You have given me a whole new look on openers from just that reply. I did try, but now that I see the other side of replies. So thank you. I like the first one so I'll see what that does and update here.
