So I approached a girl earlier and I'd like to get some feedback on the good...the bad...and the ugly.

It began we were both at a charity silent auction. I volunteered to help out some but wasn't doing much so I decide to walk around outside and take a few pictures. As I came back near the door, I saw her out taking a short smoking break, and looking at some large brass artistically painted fish.

Me: These fish are really...interesting.
Her: Yeah, they are.
Me: I think I'm going to get a picture with one, haha. Do you mind taking a picture.
*I hand her my camera*
Her: Sure.
Me: Which one should I take the picture with? Which do you like the best?
Her: I like this one, it's really cool.
*She points out the fish*
Me: Ok, cool.
*She takes the picture and shows me the image*
Me: Yeah, that looks great (I didn't care what it looked like). Anyway, my name is Matt.
Her: My name is blah.
Me: Nice to meet you blah. Anyway, you know smoking is bad for you,*slight sarcastic tone*.
Her: yeah, yeah. I know. I'm going to quit...next year.
Me: Yeah, but then again, everything's bad for you. You can be the healthiest person ever, still going to die. So you might as well enjoy it while you can.
Her: Haha, yeah.
Us: ramdon talking about the fish and stuff...blah blah.
Her: I love art.
Me: Yeah, I like it, but I'm a terrible artist. When I was a kid, I couldn't even draw stick figures right. Mine always ended up with 3 legs.
Her: Haha, wow. I think anyone can become good at art.
Me: I don't know, you definitely have to be talented. Anyway, have you seen the pirate fish out front.
Her: No, but I want to go see it.
*we walk out look at it, joke around, and walk back*
Me: Anyway, I'm about to head to my car...but do you mind if I get your number?
Her: No. I've love to hangout with some people because I don't really know to many people here. My number is......

Long I know, but this is the basic convo without minor details. Anyway, any critiques are appreciated. Thanks

hey 'm no pro but i think u might have shown too much interest sometime it works sometime it doesn't from my experience in daygame, when you show a bit of interest you normally get blown out but it depends really there's alot more factors that account to getting success. i think you talked too much about the fishes and you didn't really DHV but i like the part when your talking about smoking especially after she said 'im gonna quit' that was a good point might even use it myself

he didnt show too much interest...i mean not based on the convo really. I dont know about his eye contact or body language. Like said before... the convo is very casual, which could work out in his favor. You can get away with this stuff during daygame and she wasn't really resistive so the target is on point. You didn't build any A (attraction) which I would focus on next mixed with some C (comfort). Some people disagree with the order but I actually like the C - A approach

Edit: I just read that one of the posters said that you didn't DHV. I again disagree.
YOU SHOULD NEVER TRY TO DHV UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO. DHV should NOT be your primary focus. Its merely a TOOL for you to use in case you need to bring up your value through routines, story telling etc... This girl has not tried to "bring you down" or "test you" so there is no need to raise your value higher than hers (It easily backfires and there is absolutely no need for it). Stay on the same frequency as hers, stay mysterious and once again have a superstar mentality. Superstars don't talk about them being superstars, in fact they do the opposite. Of course deep down you gotta believe in that shit. You know you are the fking shit but there you NEVER should have to demonstrate. Our brain picks up these signals based on the vibe you give. You want to be liquid - its a state function. You are the source of heat. Indefinitely, stay happy with who you are at all times. People need to become more naturals than so intense and focused on these routines, lines etc... they are just tools. Its like being a soccer player that instead of goes out and plays the game and practices focuses on buying the right shiny nike vapor cleats, spends incredible amount of time finding the right leggings to wear etc... like wtf?

Thanks for the feedback. It's all really helpful. Yeah I realized last night afterwards that I failed to build attraction. I've always been the "Nice Guy" so that's going to take some work. Also, I didn't mention, but earlier than night, she walked past me and we made eye contact, so I think she already had some attraction to me.

Anyway, I sent her a text a few hours afterwards.

Me: Hey Blah, this is Matt, and here's my number. Save it, because it's the most important one you will ever get. (Ok, maybe not...but save it anyway. ) *This was a brilliant text opener I found on this site. So I can't take credit for it, haha.*

Her: Haha hey! And of course i have to save it. its the death penalty if i dont :0

Me: Haha. no, you'd just have to sit through more silent auctions. Anyway, how'd the rest of the auction go?

Her: Thats worse than death lol. And I guess well. It went fast after you left because stuff started picking up and actually going.

Me: Oh well. It sounds like I missed the party. Anyway, I'm about to get some sleep. My roommate wants me to wake up early and workout before church, smh. Goodnight. *We briefly talked about church so I figure it was safe*

Anyway, I haven't talked since then and I don't plan on texting today or tomorrow. I'll probably send her something on Tuesday Night (2 days) and ask if she wants to go bowling on Thursday.
