Hey guys, i just wanted to post here today because well, i don't really have another outlet. Basically I was in the library doing work when and HB 8.5 approached me. She sat down and began to use the computer next to me, and we chatted a bit. But i forgot to ask her name!

Basically, i wanted to know what you guys think would be MUSTS for opening, kinda like a check-list of sorts.

meh you would usually want her to ask your name as it is an ioi[indicator of interest]. Asking HER name shows an ioi from your side and might dlv if done too quickly. The moment when its safe to ask for her name is when you have already chatted with her for a bit. Because then its just the natural thing to do, and will bring the ' relationship ' further. Don't open with it though D=, its not horrible or anything but just not ideal.

I'd say your opener was pretty good since you said you talked with her for a while. Which is pretty much the only thing openers are good for. Just breaking the ice, from there on practice on your a2 and a3. Which is the conversation beyond your opener. Try to get your dhv's going and to not convey too much interest because thats no fun for her.

If something funny happened in your conversation you can open with that next time when you see her and this time ask her name before she leaves =]
