I'm an American living in Okinawa, and have lived in about 6 countries in Asia. I hear Japanese women love Americans, but usually when I look at 'em they look away and just keep walking, and appear to be disinterested. The women in the other countries I've lived in out here have seemed more flirtatious, but Japanese often will not even look at all. I'm not alone, I've heard other guys complain about it. How can I meet more Japanese women?

In my experience, Japanese people are way more reserved about being too open with their feelings, needs and other related topics. So, just because they are not looking at you that doesn't mean they won't be interested, quite the opposite, but you might want to approach with some caution. I'll assume you know japanese, because most japanese people don't know any english at all. Try getting into some local club about, i don't know, reading maybe, movies, or something along those lines. I'll asume you really don't have much japanese friends there. Approach women of all types, be masculine, last i heard japanese women are getting tired of their men being too "herviborous", so, try to stike for a balance. You're a foreigner in a new land, i'm sure some japanese lady would love to show you around, and you can tell her stories about other places where you lived.
